FEBRUARY 15, 2010
Dear Practitioners,
As of March 1, 2010 traditional naturopaths registered as doctors of naturopathy in Washington, D.C. will no longer be able to use the title “Doctor of Naturopathy.”
We continue to fight the battle and are not giving up. In the meantime, it is strongly recommended to avoid the naturopathy term all together. It is suggested to use: Natural Health, Homeopathy, Acupressure, Nutritional Consulting, and other similar terms.
If you need new credentials we have come up with two new certificate and degree programs in Naturopathology and Integrative Homeopathy. The certificate programs are offered by the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine and the degrees are offered by First National University.
Within the Naturopathology program you are taught to gather lab specimens and then can become certified by the Federal CLIA administration as a lab. In the homeopathy program you are taught the integrative method. For further details please feel free to look at our web sites at www.naturopathology.com and www.holisticdegrees.org.
For practitioners with proper credentials and those that have studied with us before, there is a possibility of receiving credit and thereby receiving an expedited certificate or degree.
The new Integrative Homeopathy degree program is not yet on the internet but should be posted soon. I can e-mail it to you upon request.
Feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Best wishes,
Victoria Goldsten
